What an Encouraging Word…

by Kelly Crawford

While you’re waiting for your makeover ;-), please take a few minutes to listen to today’s broadcast from Focus on the Family.

Wow. I was thrilled to know that millions of parents got to hear the Wilson’s message about the home. Here’s a snippet, spoken through tears of this mother:

“Part of it is opening up the Word of God, every day, as the foundation for everything that we do…and it is such an honor to present God the Father to my children….Most of my life I’ve said “no”–I’ve said “no” to activity, because activity doesn’t breed intimacy…and I’ve gathered my children, day in and day out, and as I look in their faces I’ve thought, ‘There is no greater calling than to invest in the hearts and souls of the next generation’.”

anon,

Oops, for some reason I can’t get the direct link. Click on “Father’s Commitment to Purity, Part 1” (9-15), which ironically has little to do with the inspiration of the message…they got sidetracked.

Thanks. I did listen to parts of Lori Salierno’s tape, who was on yesterday, 9/17/08, “Serving God with What You Have.”
