One Woman’s Journey…

by Kelly Crawford

A delightful read about one woman’s journey to becoming a keeper at home…thought it might be encouraging!

I’ve read through some of your posts, and I must say I’m so glad you contacted me, as it has enabled me to be introduced to your blog! It seems we have a lot in common regarding our views on family, children and the role of women.

And it’s so wonderful to ‘meet’ someone who shares my convictions about contraception! Your blog is great. I’m looking forward to reading more.

Thanks Anna!

The feeling is mutual…what a blessing to share in the bond of like-mindedness, in a culture that opposes biblical feminity!

I often get a sense of elation when I see God moving among all these families whose women are “only homemakers”…just to see the irony of being able to use our gifts and passions to wage a spiritual war from home, a feat not possible if we were being distracted by careers.

Be encouraged you mighty women out there!

I just finished reading ALL of your blog archives. I love how you stand up boldly to defend God’s truth, and how you word your thoughts. Your love for God, life and children is simply shining through!

In one of your comment threads, I noticed you were attacked in the most harsh, rude and unpleasant way (I think it was a response ro an essay your daughter wrote). I’m sure what I saw was just the tip of the iceberg! You must endure SO many negative comments… and why? Just because you say what God designed is natural and beautiful, and you live out your convictions!

I wish you much strength. Looking forward to more updates on your blog!

Anna,

Thank you again…what an encouraging word! Yes, speaking what I believe is truth often brings persecution–the Bible predicts that, so I TRY not to take it personally! 🙂

And I am not guiltless of reacting, sometimes wrongly, to the criticizm of others. So pray that I would be able to speak truth in love at all times, and not respond in the flesh.

Deeply appreciate the encouragement!
