What I’m Doing About My Aging Face

OK girls, this is pretty exciting and I just wanted to let you all know about it.

I’m aging. We all are, but you know that place where you finally realize you might need to try putting something on your face besides coconut oil or your cheapo go-to moisturizer?

Well I’m there. And I’m pretty particular about what I put on my skin. I don’t do the parabens and chemicals I know are toxic. I’m not a purist, but I am cautious. Years ago I made my own skin products and that was so much fun, but now, I need something (more?) so I scoured manufacturers to find products that I LOVE and trust and believe in. And I created my own line of skin care, named after my daughter, Avalee.

Introducing, “Avalee Natural Skin Care.” Now, White and Lea Natural Skin Care.

Right now I have 3 products–Retinol Renew Moisturizer, Anti-Aging Vitamin C Serum and 100% Organic Sugar Scrub. (And for just 24 hours, they are over $5 off!!!)

I have been using these for several months as I tried them before making the decision to include them in my line, and I have to say I truly feel and see a difference (and so do my friends who have tried it). My husband, who knows I’ve been using them but doesn’t make a connection, commented last week,

“Is your makeup different? Your face looks…brighter.”

(Yesssssss.) Actually, I have stopped wearing foundation. Y’all, that’s huge!!! I hate foundation anyway. So BIG WIN for the moisturizer and serum. (I usually use the silky-feeling moisturizer at night and the serum during the day.) Hyaluronic acid is the secret. Look it up if you haven’t heard of it–it’s a naturally occurring substance in the skin that diminishes as we age . It is in both the moisturizer and serum and it is medically proven to make a difference.

If you want to try them out, I am sending samples TOTALLY FREE. All you have to do is go to WHITEANDLEA.COM and sign up and let me know what you want.

Our most recent customer review:

“I am loving my new Retinol Moisturizer. I had never tried a hyaluronic acid moisturizer before, but I kept hearing about it. It seems the older I get the more concerned I am about having healthy skin. So I figured I’d try it. My skin has never looked so good. A little bit seems to go a long way. I have sensitive skin, so I choose to put a carrier oil on top of it. It means a lot that this is a natural product. I definitely plan to continue using this product.” -Amy O.

If nothing else, please visit our website and learn about the fantastic ingredients–I’ve learned so much about skin care researching these products!

And if you’re interested at all, now is the time to buy.

***We have sold out of the Vitamin C Serum and we’re close to selling out of the other two products. BUT–another shipment is on the way and should be available again by the end of next week!***

For the next 24 hours, I’m doing a flash sale for 25% off (more than $5 off!) The discount has already been applied. If you do make a purchase, please leave a product review as this is the ONLY way new customers will consider buying a new brand product. I would be so grateful as I labor to grow our business!

So check out our website HERE or you can go straight to Amazon and get your own goodies HERE (Retinol Moisturizer) or HERE (Sugar Scrub) or HERE (Vitamin C Serum)

And most of all, I would SO love to hear how you like the products! I can’t wait to hear from you!

    Dear Kelly,
I ordered the free sample of your Retinol Renew Moisturizer a little bit ago (at almost 63 my skin definitely needs “thickening” 😉 ). I thought I’d read all the ingredients, but on the product page which I didn’t look at until just now (first only saw the page to try the samples), it says that the one I ordered has Xanthan Gum in it… I’m a bit leery of xanthan gum as it is made from corn, soy, wheat, or dairy (most of which can often be GMO ingredients). We’ve had to be extremely diligent to keep xanthan gum out of our diet since our youngest was diagnosed with allergies to those 4 things (plus peanuts and gluten) a couple of years ago. I was just wondering what purpose the xanthan gum serves other than the obvious thickening of the moisturizer? Not that my daughter needs to use it at age 22, but I’ve noticed that I feel better when I avoid her allergens too. I don’t have any of the usual allergic type reactions (rashes or anaphalaxis), but I’d rather not use any GMOs in any form if it can be avoided. So can you tell me if your moisturizer is GMO free or not? All’s grace, Kay in VA

Kay I have an answer for you that I’ll type when I get back to my computer. I’m visiting my dad in the hospital.

    • Kay,

      To address your questions:

I don’t know if the xanthan gum in this product is made from non-GMO corn. I am asking the manufacturer and waiting on an answer.

To be sure, xanthan gum is safe, even ingested, except for those allergic, like your daughter. (I’m not sure she would be affected by the topical application in this form.) I really respect Dr. Axe’s opinion and his article has a pretty thorough explanation of it, including some health benefits of xanthan gum like cancer-fighting properties. https://draxe.com/what-is-xanthan-gum/

Several other sources I read echoed the suggestion that the only disadvantage is strictly if it’s ingested by someone who is allergic, but it is safe for topical application, with little to none penetrating past the top layer of skin.

      I hope that helps!

I will let you know what they say about the GMO when I hear back.
